Inside bets in roulette are those bets that you make inside the box area in the table layout meant for inside bets.  The different types of roulette bets per roulette rules are listed as follows:

  • Straight bet
  • Split bet or two number bet
  • Street bet or three number bet

Straight Bet

When you are playing a straight bet in roulette, you will be betting on one number in the table.  The chip is placed on the single number the player is playing.  You can make more than one straight bet per spin. The payout for the straight bet is the highest at 35:1.  However, it is good to combine these bets with other types of bets to cover more numbers than to concentrate on just one number bet.

Two Number Bet

When you play the two number bet, you will be betting on two numbers at a time.  You will be placing the chip on the line between the two separate numbers.  This bet is also known as split bet.  The payoff for this is at the rate of 17:1.

Three Number Bet

This bet is also known as the street bet. The player playing this bet places the chip on one side of the row to indicate that the bet is placed on all the numbers in the row. The pay off for this bet type is at the rate of 11:1.

Corner Bet

The player places the chip at the point of intersection of the four numbers to indicate the bet as placed on those four numbers.  The pay off for this bet type is set at 8:1

Five Bet

A five number bet can be placed to cover numbers like 0, 00, 1, 2 and 3 by placing the chip between 0 and 1. The pay off for this bet is at the rate of 6:1.

Six Line Bet

In this bet, the will be betting on two rows by placing the chips at the point of intersection of the two rows on one of the sides. The payoff for this bet is set at 6:1.
